Further Group is a private-equity backed, fast-growing specialist in cancer-focused critical illness insurance and services. Position
As we continue expanding internationally and strengthening our strategic capabilities, we are looking for a Senior Manager, Corporate Development & Strategic Projects who can bring strong analytical thinking, structured problem‑solving, and hands‑on execution to our initiatives. This role is designed for someone who thrives in high‑growth environments, can navigate complexity with ease, and enjoys transforming strategic ideas into tangible business impact.

As our Senior Manager, Corporate Development & Strategic Projectsyou'll get to:
  • Act as an internal strategy and execution arm for the CEO and CFO
  • Lead special projects from concept to implementation (not just PowerPoint)
  • Support new market entry initiatives (EU, UK, non-EU Europe, selected international markets)
  • Conduct market sizing, competitor analysis, and opportunity assessment across products, geographies, and client segments
  • Build commercial and financial business cases for new propositions, partnerships, and investments
  • Support client-driven strategic initiatives alongside Sales and Account Management (e.g. bespoke propositions, pilots, new distribution models)
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Actuarial, Product, Claims/TPA, Tech, Legal, and Operations to land initiatives
  • Support M&A, partnerships, and strategic alliances, including screening, DD support, and integration planning
  • Translate strategy into clear execution roadmaps, KPIs, and ownership models
  • Act as a central corporate development hub, reducing dependency on external consultants over time
We'd love to meet someone who:
  • Background in Big 4 (Strategy, Deals, Actuarial Advisory, Financial Advisory) or top-tier strategy consulting
  • Exposure to insurance, reinsurance, financial services, healthcare, or regulated environments strongly preferred
  • Strong Excel / financial modelling and PowerPoint skills
  • Structured problem-solving and hypothesis-driven analysis
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capability (market sizing, unit economics, scenario modelling)
  • Ability to simplify complex businesses and propositions into clear, compelling narratives
  • Commercial mindset with a strong understanding of how value is actually created and captured
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across senior leadership and client-facing teams
  • Ability to move seamlessly between strategy, analysis, and hands-on execution
  • High ownership mentality; bias toward delivery over analysis paralysis
  • Confident presenting to executives and external partners
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English, any other language would be a plus
